life in vancouver had been extremely busy. couple meal gatherings already. this afternoon was dedicated entirely to fixing my mom's computer. it has tons of problems but i won't give up without a fight! hopefully i won't need the entire night to fix the computer. it'd be a lot faster to just format the harddrive though. but the problem is since xp is installed in one of the partitions, i dont wanna risk running fdisk to remove the primary partition without first backing up the contents in the second partition. unfortunately i have no cds to backup the drive. but anyways, havent spend that much time fixing a computer for long time~
last night i surprised Mary by leaving a voice message at their hotel room. wasnt an easy task because first i needed to find out which holiday inn they're staying at (there are at least 3 holiday inns within 2 miles of o'hare). second task was to find out which person's name is on the hotel room registration. fortunately the whole process didnt take me toooo much time!!~ :p
i've taken LOTS of pictures in vancouver already. mostly of my vancouver house and my doggie, Lily! i've also taken quite a bit of pictures of the 'snowstorm' in vancouver yesterday. i'll post the pictures as soon as i have the time to search for a website to post the pictures! despite the horrible driving/walking conditions this morning and that we couldnt get the car out of the garage, we still managed to attend the sunday service -- at a nearby english speaking church (Harvest City Church). the church building's quite interesting, there are LOTS of windows at the side of the building. and at the front, mid-part of the building is a high stain-glass window much like those in the cathedral. simliar to Catholic service, the offering is done by members going to the altar to place their offerings in the plates that're located at the altar. at the end of service, the Pastor invited members to come join him at the altar for personal prayers.
tomorrow i'll need to bring the van to automall for winter tune-up and to identify some problems with the car. hopefully can make it back home in the early afternoon because that's when Elaine said that she'll come by to pick up her luggage bag.
one good news from my stay in vancouver thus far is that i finally found a topic to write for my N.T. Foundation course paper. the next thing to do is to actually start writing it! hehee~ :p

wow! i'm up early today :p. usually i have a hard time trying to get up at 8am to goto work (fortunately i work flex-hours), i always end up lying in bed until around 8.30. but today's different, i'm extremely excited because i'll be leaving toronto in less than one hour to spend the Christmas eve with my gf in waterloo!!!
hmmm...10 days in ontario and i've driven over 1400km -- 7 days of work [350] + 2 trips to waterloo [500] + lots of miscellaneous driving in toronto [200] for a grand total of 1050km on my car. last weekend i also drove my gf's car for the entire saturday for around 300km. quite comparable to mid september where within 15 days (6~20) i drove to waterloo twice and london once. but this is still nothing compare to the amount of time that i spend on a vehicle when i'm in vegas. on an average week, i spend maybe 5 days riding on the monorial, 10 hours per day.
yesterday's dinner with Genuine was amazing. we must have sat in the restaurant for over 3 hours. we had so much catching up do, so many things happened around us the past few months, and so much we can share about in God's ministries! if it wasnt because Gen needs to go home, we can probably sit there for another 2 or 3 hours! :p. for the longest time we were talking about starting a toronto mCCF group next term!!!
anyhow, better get off the computer and take a shower, then head over to waterloo to see my beloved gf!!! ^.^

i'm back in toronto again!!!
however, i'll have to leave again in 10 days but this time not for business trip. i'll be heading home for the holidays! :)
the past weekend was amazing! i got back to toronto at 1am, went to Waterloo at around 7pm. practiced worship leading from 10pm-11.30pm in which i also need to practice my cantonese reading skills for i need to do a little translation during the kwcac joint service.
then on sunday morning, it's baptimal service featuring Thian-Peng, Hsin-Ni, and 6 other brothers/sisters. after the service, i get to spend the rest of the day with my gf! ^.^. we all had dinner together after the sunday service. then we go home to rest a bit before going to attend Thanh & Daisy's wedding banquet in toronto (Daisy is Mary&Paul's friend in sault ste. marie).
time for me to spend some quality time with God now!~
