this must be the longest stay ever that i have in toronto without being sent to site! i came back to toronto on july 25 and as for this coming sunday, i'd have been in toronto for 4 consecutive weeks. however, i am tentatively heading to seoul in mid-september.

but anyhow, fyi that i finally posted some of the pictures that i took from my vacation onto the internet (also pictures from my visit to casa loma and Alcatel Day [see below]):

some further update to my work life:
- today is Alcatel Day.....which included a 3+ hour communication event at AMC 30. followed by BBQ and softball at Tudor park .
- i am working this weekend because a testing that was done by another person wasnt complete. since my gf hasnt came back from taiwan yet, so i volunteered to carry out the test over the weekend.
- being a group leader is not easy. i need to know the status of every project and make sure that every group member is on track with his/her work as well as meeting all the project milestones. but think on the bright side, how many fresh grad. get to be a group leader after only 10 months in the company. so even if i screw up, i would not look too bad! :p
- this could somewhat be work-related. i recently got upgraded to "prestige" for my aeroplan status. i should be getting some upgrade certificates pretty soon, and no more lineup at the check-in counter. one more overseas trip and one more las vegas trip and i'll be an "elite"! :p

updates to my personal life:
- looking to buy a condo unit and a car right now. already have a specific condo and units in mind, currently waiting for someone living in those units (whichever floor) post the forsale sign. and as for the car, probably go for a acrua 1.7el, honda accord, and tbd.
- had been attending fellowship and church regularly this month. this is a rare occasion for me because when i was on site in las vegas, i had to work most sundays.
- daily devotional status: 2 Chronicles chapter 25.
- miscellaneous Bible reading: read the book of Joel two days ago, and about to start reading the book of Amos.

congrats to joseph.s (my supervisor) in becoming a father!!!

however, this means most of his work duties will be delegated to me. so now i am responsible for the las vegas and seoul projects, on top of that i have to manage the paris, hk, and the washington projects. getting super duper busy due to the absence of my supervisor. new record on monday -- 5 meetings in one day:
(1000-1100) -- lv daily meeting
(1400-1430) -- meeting with manager to discuss about design issues on seoul project
(1500-1600) -- meeting with the head network guy on troubleshooting a lv problem
(1600-1700) -- gave training to coworkers
(1730-1830) -- teleconference with lv staff to help troubleshoot a problem

anyways, enough with work stuff.....my mom came over from vancouver for 4 days. primary reason is to make sure my grandpa (her father) have no problem adjusting to life in the nursing home. because grandpa's in the nursing home, so everyday between me and my uncle, we must drive grandma to nursing home in the morning and back at night >.<. and the nursing home is not in close proximity. it is actually quite close to the toronto zoo, wheras my uncle's house in at yonge street, and my workplace is near islington @.@. so every weekday i'd have to drive across the length of toronto.

ewww, seems like i am complaining more and more :p. i guess i'm just tired of days being extremely busy during and after work...well, that is a big indication for me to get some rest and sleep EARLY! :)
